Floor preheating and drying

Protect your home floor by activating the Floor Preheating function which slowly increases the heating temperature of the floor coils, avoiding possible floor damaging and transitioning smoothly to the heating function. Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHPs)

Air source heat pumps are the most common type of heat pump. Positioned on the exterior of your home, the air source heat pump uses an ultra-quiet fan to propel air through the evaporative section. The refrigerant liquid inside the heat pump absorbs the thermal energy from the passing air to start the process. Air source heat pumps are usually fully contained, meaning that all of the parts for the heat pump are contained within the unit. The only feed in and out of the heat pump will be the flow and return pipes into the property. This makes the air source heat pump quick and easy to install - meaning low installation costs.


One drawback of air source heat pumps is that they are less efficient in colder conditions due to the reduction of thermal energy in the passing air. However, Wotech heat pump will factor this in when designing your heat pump and heating system, to ensure it can heat your home sufficiently all year round.
